Voice Processing Services

    The Voice Processing Services Office is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the University's OCTEL Voice Processing System, which serves approximately 15,000 campus users. This office is also the primary point of contact for voice mail and cellular phone inquiries.

    The Voice Processing Office provides administrative and technical support to the campus community in voice processing applications, and computer-based voice messaging. It is the intention of this office to instruct users to realize the full potential of Voice Processing features.

    In addition to installation and maintenance, this office provides assistance in application design, script writing, script recording, testing and implementation of Voice Processing Applications. Various standard and customized reports are available upon request to aid departments in monitoring the efficiency of their applications.

    The Voice Processing office also provides information and technical assistance in wireless communication services available to University departments and employees for purchase at discounted rates or for short term loan.

    Efficient office procedures and a highly trained staff allow for same-day to a 24-hour turnaround on most work requests.
