Family Housing

OIT RESIDENTIAL SERVICES FEE

The mandatory, non-refundable OIT Residential Services Fee of $120 for a four month period will be billed by Residential Telecommunications. Residents will receive a billing statement three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). There is an option to pay the either the non-refundable total amount due of $120 by the first due date of the billing period or the $30 monthly fee by the due date each month. Balances must be kept current and may be paid in full at any time. A blue "Family Housing Telecommunications Payment" form must filled out and submitted with payment to the Bursar's Office. These forms are available at Wysocki House and the Bursar's Office. Your "Billing TE" number is the Primary Lease Holder's eight digit Campus ID.

If a tenant commits to residency after the 23rd of any given month there will be no OIT Residential Services Fee due that month. If a tenant terminates residency from the 1st through the 7th of any given month there will be no OIT Residential Services Fee due that month.

Returned Check Fee
Residential Telecommunications will charge a “Returned Check Fee” of $25 on every check that is returned unpaid.

Policy on Non-Payment for Services
The Office of Information Technologies may, without further notification, block any telecommunications services (including telephone, voicemail and/or network access) for any overdue balance. The block on telephone service will be a change of service that will still allow for emergency calls only.

Procedure for Non-Payment of Services
Payment must be received by the Bursar's Office and Residential Telecom notified via E-mail at restelcom@oit.umass.edu or 545-2103 in order to restore service.

Long Distance

The PAETEC Communications Long Distance Program for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst campus expires July 1, 2009. Calling cards with local or toll-free acess numbers can continue to be used for long distance dialing.
